Today Jayden wore an adorable red corduroy dress and we happened to have a matching GIGANTIC bow (of course). Anyhow, at church EVERYONE commented on her outfit and bow and stopped to fuss over her and one older lady said, "well look at your little Christmas present!" She is, she's definitely "all I wanted for Christmas".

Last night we had our ward Christmas dinner and the Primary children performed a program on the stage of our cultural hall. We had a Mary and Joseph, a doll for baby Jesus (Jayden was wayyyyyy too fussy to be held by a 9 year old girl), all the other boys were shepherds and all the girls were angels. The Bishopric were the Three Wise Men and one of them read the Christmas story from the Bible. We sang, at intervals throughout the program and at one point the Primary President sang a solo of "Mary's Lullaby". She has the most beautiful voice and even the children fell completely silent and stopped fidgeting, the girls commented on how the song gave them chills. It was incredibly beautiful. Then the Three Wise Men handed out gifts to the children. Much nicer then some Santa!

This morning one of the Primary kids came in and was so excited and he told us that they had been given a Christmas tree overnight, when they woke up this morning someone had put a tree and lights and a few ornaments on their front step and so they were late because they had stopped to decorate their tree before church. The excitement in his eyes reminded me of what Christmas is about - definitely not Ipods and toys!
