Well today I'm nice and sore from falling, but Jayden's in there wiggling all around. I did end up going last night to the RS Broadcast. It was nice, we had a stake RS dinner before it and then watched it and then my ward went out for pie...yum. Good time. Anyhow I got stiff sitting there and thought I was in pain and then experienced the much more excrutiating pain of laying down all night and then moving, LOL, so I think I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow and see if I can get in tomorrow instead of Tuesday and if I can get a massage, I don't care what I have to pay, I'm in SO MUCH PAIN. And my foot looks a bit infected. Great. LOL

That highway patrol man yesterday was SO incredibly nice. I don't think that I told you all about him specifically, he was very nice to the boys and made sure that they didn't feel threatened or upset the entire time, and made sure I wasn't upset as well. Even if he had given us a ticket for the speeding (which we deserved) his overall attitude about the whole thing was great, really made the boys feel better about the whole thing. We've never even been pulled over before so it was a little nervewracking for us, and for them! Anyhow, I'm off tomorrow to take care of our registration, fun stuff! I think the car is going to have to be smogged, a guy in our ward said to just bring it down tomorrow, so hopefully it passes, I don't see why it wouldn't except for my horrible luck. LOL

Anyhow, I did go to church today to find out that our Primary Pianist and Nursery Leader (married) up and moved without telling us! Argh. Pianists, oh and she also teaches the Sunbeams, and Nursery Leaders are SO. hard. to come by! Kevin is supposedly released, although it's not "official", so he went in there and said he'd stay in there until we got someone else called - I think he prefers nursery to EQ...LOL

Well, we're having frozen pizza for dinner because we just spent a few hours out front cleaning out the car and putting Justin's new carseat in using LATCH and installing Jayden's carseat so I can have them inspected tomorrow, I'm worried about Jayden's, we can't latch 2 carseats next to eachother, so we had to just use the regular seatbelt on hers and the little ball thingy that tells you if it's "straight" was NOT looking in the right spot, Kev said it might be because the car is in the driveway at a slight incline, so maybe. We'll see what they say when I have it inspected tomorrow. I'm actually going to wake up at 6:30 am to take Kevin to work so I can keep my car and go run errands, hopefully a doctor's appointment, getting the car washed, the seats inspected, DMV and then I don't know, I kind of want to turn in the ticket and the registration and just get it taken care of but I don't know if I HAVE to wait until the court date listed on the ticket or not? It's not til November 6th, and for some obvious reasons I don't want to HAVE to be in court that week...LOL We'll see what the courthouse says, maybe I can get them to take the stuff now.

Mmmm, frozen pizza's ready!

Oh man. I need to crawl in a hole and not move!

The past hour:

- I was walking into MIL's house and her steps were wet and I slipped and fell and busted my bum and hand. So I sit there for a few minutes and decide to come home and rest and see if I'm ok. So we leave...

- Kevin takes getting me home a little too seriously and does 40 on his mom's street - SPEED TRAP, a police officer waves us in and great...this is a residential street - supposed to do 25. Since Kevin's a class A driver speeding would be DEVESTATING to his license and apparently this guy respected that because he just gave us a warning about the speeding....however, we forgot to change our address with the DMV when we moved in March and our forwarding order expired from our old house, and our tags were apparently due in August...so got a ticket for no registration. Good thing it's a fix it ticket! So we're on our way in a few minutes, and go on home.

- WAlk in the door and kick off my shoes and stepped immediately on a nail. What the heck was a nail doing on our carpet????!!!! So I had to pull it out and it's still bleeding. Ugh. It hurts. And who knows when the last time I had a tetanus shot was! Ugh.

So, yeah. What a day. Now I am trying to decide if I really need to go to the hospital or not. I want to go to the RS Broadcast tonight. Ugh.

Today would have been Denny's 24th Birthday. Last year we went to his gravesite to put flowers and my dad hadn't placed a headstone and it deeply upset my mom so we chose not to go this year because they're still fighting about the headstone. So, I think in a way, his birthday is a little harder this year because there is no celebration or really much talking about him.

Denny loved birthdays, especially his. He always joked around about what he was getting for his birthday and LOVED to open presents and have cake, and have everyone around. I can't believe that he's gone on days like today, when it seems like I should be able to pick up the phone and call him and wish him a Happy Birthday.

I can't believe my baby brother is gone.

Who Is In Your Family?

Jakey just got home from Community Day, the day his virtual public school has designated to have their credentialed teachers provide instruction in Math and Language Arts as well as an elective such as Cooking, Music, etc. and the kids do service projects as well during this time.

Anyhow, I grab his backpack to look through it for a more indepth explanation of how his day was then, "fine." And I come across some pre-writing paperwork for an essay he's supposed to be writing about himself. He's supposed to list all the members of his family. Here's Jakey's list:

1. Mom
2. Dad
3. Justin
4. Jayden - she lives in mom's belly right now though.
5. Jacob
6. Playstation 2

Yep, apparently I gave birth to a PS2 and didn't even know it! LOL I could have understood the dog, but the Playstation????? LOL!
34 weeks today!!!! I'm off bedrest!!! Yay!!!
Ah, it's school day! Jakey's school is having the students come to actual school one day a week for several hours to interact with other children and be tested/taught by their certified teachers. Jakey's really looking forward to this. Another boy from our ward uses the same school and so does his friend from my mom's ward, so the lady in my ward is carpooling all three boys to school on Thursdays for us. After I have the baby I'm going to do carpool every other week, probably starting in January. Anyhow, they go from 8:45 to 1:00 but the last hour is PE and Jakey's friend from our ward is in a cast and since his mom is carpooling all the boys are going to sit out on PE with him until his cast comes off, should be a few more weeks, so they'll be coming home at noon. We'll see how Justin does, he didn't handle the two hours Jakey was at orientation last week very well...LOL I think once Jayden comes he'll do better because he'll be distracted by her.

Anyhow, unfortunately Kevin's work had to put him in the field again today because he was in the middle of a rig move they thought he could finish by today, but it's delayed, so he has to finish the rig move and then he's in the office, so he's out in the field right now trying to break down that rig and get it onto his truck so he can get into his nice new office job! :)

Tonight is Jakey's Pack Meeting, I'm again hoping for a bead or something easy that I don't have to sew on his uniform! LOL

And I folded all that laundry and managed to get Jakey to put it all away so now I can do even more laundry! LOL The funny thing is right now it's really nice out so we can have our doors/windows open and not use the a/c but we can't use the dryer because it heats up the house too much so I have to turn on the a/c to do laundry right now cause i'm trying to catch up.

The most shocking and amazing news of all this week has to be our electric/gas bill - $980!!!! Yeah. I know. We should have them put the meter in the house so we can use it as a fan!! My mom said that's the highest electric bill she's ever heard of and our houses are very similar in year built and size and hers hasn't been anywhere near that!

Anyhow, that's all the randomness I can think of on an empty stomach (oh those donuts are no more, LOL) so time to eat some breakfast!

Wednesday, September 26, 2007

All I can think about is the plain donuts left from the box of donuts Kevin brought home this morning. LOL The kids are up, and I don't want them to have junk food (LOL I should be practicing what I preach!) so I have to wait 36 more minutes til they go to bed to make chocolate milk and finish off those plain donuts. I swear, they are CALLING MY NAME! LOL

Oh well, cave now cause once Jayden's out it's time to find my body again! LOL No more excuses of, "well what if I get pregnant again?" LOL!

They're So Cute!

Jakey and Justin were playing in their bedroom and they got into a fight. So Jakey hit Justin with a plastic sword on the shoulder. Justin was devestated and came running and crying to me. Jakey wouldn't tell the truth about hitting Justin (what he hit him with and why) and Justin did tell me what had happened. Anyhow, so Jakey got sent to my room for time out and after getting him a drink and explaining it's just time to rest because he's still a bit sick, I put Justin down for a nap. Justin came out a few minutes later and said, "I can't sleep, Jakey didn't tell me he's sorry and I can't sleep if we're fighting and I'm sad. I love him." So I let him go talk to Jakey and heard their conversation, so cute!

Justin: Jakey, I need you to say you're sorry so I can forgive you.

Jakey: I'm sorry, Justin, I didn't mean to hurt you, I was just mad.

Justin: It's ok, I get mad too sometimes. Can you kiss my owie?

Jakey: Ok. (Kisses justin's shoulder)

Justin comes running down the stairs and says, "Mommy! I can sleep now, Jakey still loves me!"

So CUTE!
Our decorating for Halloween for FHE was a success. The boys had a ton of fun. They especially liked putting the spider web stuff on the rod iron gate leading to our house....LOL! Then Justin fell asleep early and Jakey and I played Crazy 8's...he WHOPPED me, several times! LOL

I LOVED Dancing With The Stars last night! I had to change it the last 30 minutes so I missed Jane Seymour and Mel B. dancing, but I caught the first 4. My mom is finally watching for the first year - probably because Marie Osmond is on this year - and she's like I can't believe some of these women older than me can do this show! I told her they count to 8 alot slower then the younger girls and boy could you tell that last night! LOL That Cheetah girl did AWESOME!

Then we were talking about Thanksgiving...Thanksgiving is just over a week after my scheduled c-section! Anyhow, usually my parents go to their cabin and we go to Kevin's grandparents and then if we can we go up to their cabin and if we can't then we have Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday when they get back so that we're not running around like crazy. Well this year, I think because we're going to have a new baby, my mom wants us to come to their house for Thanksgiving. I HATE it when she does this because it makes our holidays STINK. We end up spending the entire day in the car going from place to place - ugh. She promised they'd have a really early dinner (at 1 PM) if we go there first so we can make it to Kevin's grandparents house by 5:00 PM, still. Ugh. I am not a fan of running all over town on holidays. Especially not 10 days post partum! The holidays are already giving me a headache. LOL

Ok I've been doing laundry for two days and I have a MOUNTAIN of it to fold, send a rescue team if you don't hear back from me!!! LOL
Yesterday was my friend Kara's Blogging Birthday! One year of great blogs from Kara! She's having a contest so go visit her blog!! :)

Seven more weeks! Seven weeks from today is my scheduled c-section. I could not possibly be pregnant any longer than that! Yay! :)

These next seven weeks are filled with super blessings for our family! On Thursday Kevin will start the position they are creating for him, dispatcher/Human Resources at work! We're really excited about this because it will allow Kevin to have a set schedule and be in the office, so if I need him for anything he'll be here in Bakersfield and not off in some other city down south. We're VERY excited about this. Plus there is the added benefit of the fact that the truck beating him up (all the jostling around as you ride, strapping down for 2 hours in rain, etc.) and he's glad to move into the office where his desk won't do these same things.

Also, in the next seven weeks, our oldest son is going to turn 8! And be baptized! Yesterday during the primary program Jakey gave a talk about "The First Member of His Family to Join the Church Followed Jesus Christ in Faith" and he talked about Kevin's conversion and that I had been a member longer but became active again, and getting to go to the temple and be sealed and all the blessings that our family has received since Kevin joined the church and received the Priesthood, etc. It was a really sweet talk. And he spoke about how excited he is to join the church. We are really excited as well. I can't believe I'm going to have a child old enough to be a member of the church!

And then, our beautiful baby girl will be born sometime in the next seven weeks or in seven weeks exactly and we are so thrilled. After the long journey with infertility, I'm so glad to see it all end this way! The other "excitement" for us is this will be our first child born in the covenant, that doesn't make her any more or less sealed to us than the boys but it's just neat and it was a huge source of comfort to us during the scarier days of the pregnancy - that if anything happened or went wrong she was sealed to us already.

Sure lots of not so great things are going to happen in the next seven weeks (like probably having to move) but that's ok, we're incredibly blessed right now, it'll all work out I'm sure.

So, you know what happens when kids sleep all day cause they are sick and go to bed on time? They wake up at 4:00 AM. We don't allow TV on Sundays before 1;00 PM (Hey, we're working on it being an all day thing, but for now, that's as close as we've gotten! LOL) So the boys knew they couldn't turn on the TV to watch, so they did the next best thing - run around the house screaming and play fighting while we try to sleep. I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo not happy about this.

Justin still wasn't well enough for church so just Jakey and I went because we had the Primary Program this Sunday. That went really well, REALLY smoothly. We didn't run over, it was like perfectly timed, we finished wiht only 5 minutes to spare so the Bishop spoke for a few minutes and then closing song, prayer and we were on our way home!

I came home and Justin was curled up on his bed crying, he has a huge bruise from where the steroid was injected into his leg. I had steroids for Jayden's lungs and never bruised or hurt, I know the actual medicine is different, but still, seems weird, doesn't it? Anyhow some Tylenol and he was up and ready to chase after Jakey.

Thursday I will hit 34 weeks which is the point at which they won't stop my labor and I can get off bedrest. So Friday I'm borrowing my MIL's car while she's at work (she works a bearable schedule, Kevin - you never know when he'll get off work, I don't want to go get him at 10:00 PM! LOL) and run errands and celebrate being in the clear! :)

Anyhow, hopefully these kids will be 100% very, very soon! I want to start doing some things during the week to make these last few weeks of good weather and only having two kid to tote around go quickly! :) Tomorrow we're going to work on school and then for Family Home Evening we're going to the $1 Store to get some decorations to add to our collection of Halloween stuff and then clean up the yard and put up Halloween decorations. Should be fun.

So that's my totally random Sunday blog....LOL

Whew, what a day!!

Kevin had taken off Monday to go to a few doctor's appointments and so he was supposed to just have a four day work week. Well during those four days (Tuesday - Friday) he worked 53 hours. Then, last night when he was ending a 16 hour shift, his dispatcher called and wanted him to work today. He really considered not doing it because he was really tired, but then reconsidered because you can never really have too much money, yk? So he went in and worked 14 hours today. Which left me home with the sick kiddos all day long.

It wasn't terrible because sick kids generally sleep more, unfortunately sick kids whine more too. Justin is getting older so it's getting better but he still has a hard time saying exactly what is wrong with him. Fortunately he IS old enough that he makes it to the toilet to throw up! Yay for that! He only threw up because he got on a coughing binge he couldn't stop. Poor kid really freaked himself out throwing up red Gatorade - he thought he had thrown up blood, yeah he was TOTALLY freaking out.

Anyhow, fortunately also both of my kids have a deep love of Saturday morning cartoons. Since they were tiny babies Kevin has brought them into the living room early every Saturday morning to watch cartoons with him and eat donuts while I slept in. So fortunately even though Kevin had gone to work at 4:00 AM, when I woke up at almost 9 AM Jakey and Justin were both watching Saturday morning cartoons peacefully and eating donuts. Yay for that! :) Then we all sat around and watched Saturday morning cartoons, I tried really, but I'm hoping that our daughter doesn't like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Sonic X and instead maybe would rather watch That's So Raven or Hannah Montana which I can stomach, because I am SOOOOOOO over TMNT! LOL But I survived the boy cartoons, LOL. Then we had a Spongebob marathon again with some DVDs of episodes we have and napped and watched Spongebob and napped and so on for the rest of the day. It was also a nice rainy day to stay inside and recover from being sick.

Both boys probably had at least 3 hours of naps today and went to sleep perfectly at 8:00 tonight, so that was surprising! Jakey hasn't had a fever all day and really looks good, he says he feels much better, just like he needed a little more sleep. Justin still sounds like he has a frog in his throat, LOL, and barky cough, and a fever. Guess he wants to hang on to being sick a while longer. I think Jakey and I are well enough to go to church tomorrow, so Kevin's going to stay home with Justin.

Friday, September 21, 2007

Justin cracks me up!

He's been telling us since last night that he has a "frog in his throat". So today he named his frog, "Hoppy", "Hoppy" doesn't like it when Justin drinks water or medicine, "Hoppy" only likes Gatorade, juice, and milk. "Hoppy" also doesn't like soup, he wants chicken nuggets and hot dogs. "Hoppy" didn't want to watch The Last Mimzy today (I don't blame "Hoppy" neither did I!), "Hoppy" wanted to watch a marathon of Spongebob Squarepants episodes on DVD. So at bedtime I kissed Justin tonight and Justin said, "Mommy, Hoppy wants you to brush your teeth!" Thanks "Hoppy"! LOL
Have you ever been to the pediatrician with your older child(ren) while hugely pregnant? It's interesting because it was like the doctor was in sales suddenly. LOL Unfortunately because we needed a same day appointment we had to see the doctor I don't really care for in the pediatrician's office, but beggars can't be choosers right? So, we go anyways. Now normally this chick seems very much like you are wasting her time even if your kid's fingernail is barely hanging on because he slammed his finger in a door, right? Not today - she was all over being OVERLY compassionate and asking about the baby and when he or she is due and am I going to be using their office and do I need formula samples. That concerns me just a little bit, I like the other dr so I'm still going to use this practice, just schedule all the regular appointments with the dr I like and hope for the best, I've not been with this office while breastfeeding so I'm a little concerned that they're not going to be as breastfeeding friendly as I'd like. Oh well, breastfeeding lasts like a year, having a good pediatrician lasts many years longer, right?

Anyhow back to the boys, LOL, I was finally right! Justin was more sick then Jakey. They both have the flu but Justin has croup and his airway was pretty constricted so they gave him a shot of steroids to get him started on being able to breathe better, and a rx for more steroids at home. So now I'm glad I didn't get the flu shot on Tuesday when my doctor recommended it because when I catch this from them I would have blamed the flu shot, LOL and it wouldn't have had a chance to take effect and protect me from this anyways, if this is even the same strain as what the shot has in it.

I felt REALLY bad about exposing Kevin's 70 year old grandmother to their germs, I sure hope she doesn't get sick! Anyhow the boys and I just got up from a nice 2 hour nap so now it's time for more orange juice and chicken noodle soup! (I sure hope we're over this in time for the Primary Program on Sunday!)

Oh and Jakey's leader at scouts called to see how he was doing, apparently last night at scouts he laid his head on the table and didn't move or participate, why she didn't call one of us to pick him up I'll never know, but she was worried about him, and that turned to worry for her own family catching the flu after I told her what was wrong with him. Ack!
The 1st rule of motherhood is:

"Your children shall ALWAYS get sick in the middle of the night."

The second rule of motherhood is:

"They will get sick as close to the weekend as humanly possible."

The third rule is:

"If given the opportunity to take them to the pediatrician and you DON'T do it, you WILL end up in urgent care, however if you DO take them to the pediatrician it'll be a virus and there will be nothing they can do." (Apparently bacteria only grows on Friday and Saturday nights in our house.)

The fourth rule:

"The child you thought was the most sick will be the one with the better diagnosis after said doctor's appointment."

And rule number five:

"As soon as you get the kids well again, you'll catch it."

Last night I put two healthy kids to bed during a thunder/lightening storm. At 2 AM, two kids came into my bed with 105 degree fevers, coughing, sneezing, with headaches and chills. Justin scared me to death - he was wheezing so hard from walking upstairs I didn't think he was going to be ok. Kevin wrapped him in a blanket and ran outside with him so he could get some nice cool air, the wheezing and barking cough stopped for a bit, but then when he brought him back in the same barking cough returned for the rest of the night. By morning Jakey has a really bad headache and his fever cannot be controlled and Justin can barely speak. (That part is sort of ok with me, mean I know, but not speaking, that's like the highlight of a kid being sick for me, LOL)

Anyhow, I decided to play by Murphy's rules, take them to the doctor today so nothing they can fix will be wrong with them so that we can stay out of Urgent Care this weekend. I'm most concerned about Justin but I have a feeling Jakey is more sick then Justin is, that always happens to me too.

And the final rule will happen, not yet, but I know it...I'm predestined to get sick once the kids are all well and not wanting to sleep and have all their energy back.

Thursday, September 20, 2007

Well our house is definately the one in foreclosure. We're going to pick up the Notice of Default the bank filed at the Hall of Records this week (on Friday) and on the 1st we're going to give them a copy of it and a letter stating that we are going to set aside our rent ourselves, if they bring the house current then provide us with proof and we'll gladly bring ourselves current but since they have no interest in making sure we have somewhere to live no matter how much we fulfill our rental obligations, we have to look out for ourselves. The house is supposed to be auctioned on December 15th, we will have til January 1st to move, but ideally I'd rather move out by December 1st then January 1st and cut it close.

I'm beyond frusterated, even December 1st, I'll be 2-3 weeks post partum if I make it to my scheduled c/s, that's REDICULOUS. If they try to sue us for the rent we were advised to counter sue them for damages for having to move unexpectedly and emotional damages (we likely wouldn't get but to make them think twice about going through with the suit) for putting us through this when I'm so far along and about the have the baby! If they fuss too much we're also going to contact the local news, they've been doing a ton of stories on renters who are losing their homes because landlords aren't making the house payments with their rent money.

So, now we start trying to find something else to live in. The thing is, where we live (our ward boudaries) has HORRIBLE schools and I would ideally like to put Jakey back in regular school next school year, there is literally no where in our ward boundaries that has a good school. We LOVE our ward, we really don't want to move out of it, but staying in these boundaries might not be what's best for our family. I think we might end up moving out of the ward boundaries which makes me SO SAD. Ideally we'd like to at least stay in our stake boundaries (and NOT my mom's stake LOL) but the best option we have right now is that my mom's next door neighbor wants to rent her house out for at least 2 years while the housing market rebounds so she can sell her house because she got remarried and is moving down south with her new husband but can't offload the house in this market, she's even going to bring down the rent for us and it's a 4 bed 3 bath, 2200 sq ft house with a pool and spa for what we pay now for our 3 bed, 3 bath 1500 sq ft, no pool, no spa house LOL. And the schools over there are excellent. But it's NEXT DOOR to my mom! Ack! I love her and all, but I don't know if I could live next door to her. Plus be in her ward?! Her ward is HUGE...I think I would have the feeling of being lost, left out, or shuffled off in that ward as far as opportunities to serve, especially since I would be coming from a ward that so desperately needs me, yk?

Anyhow, alot to think about. I'm trying not to be too upset, lots of things are happening around us to tell us that it'll be ok, Kevin got a raise, my mom's neighbor being willing to rent us her house for what we pay now, etc. Now just to figure out what exactly is the right thing for our family.

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

Blah! I don't feel so great today! I woke up with stomach cramps and feeling sick to my stomach! Yuck.

Then, Kev tells me his exgirlfriend emailed him again. Seriously, it's been 10 years, when is she going to get the picture? I read it (she had previously emailed him and he didn't tell me about it, which really made me mad), and it's totally innocent, just a family (hers) update, but still. Inappropriate??? Ugh. He's told her before he has no interest in having email contact with her. I guess I will have to find a way to block her email address.

Would it bother you if your husband's exgirlfriend emailed him randomly with fairly "innocent" emails? Or am I being freakishly hormonal about this?

Anyhow in other news, Justin's foot looks pretty good. He broke it open Monday but we've kept a bandaid on it and triple antibiotic ointment and it looks like it's healing up really nicely.

We're a little behind on Jakey's schooling so I have to work on that with him today. We have been reading Harry Potter, he reads the shorter paragraphs on each page, and we're a couple of chapters into the first book. He's the most excited I've ever seen him about reading.

We have a house situation going on, and I'm not sure what's going to happen. Our landlord called and told us on Monday that the owner of the house is having issues with the IRS and has to put the house on the market, but he's putting it on for a really high amount and is hopeful it won't sell because he'd like to still rent the house to us. She kept repeating - "don't worry, don't worry, don't worry", well I was worried. So I looked at the website that I used to look up my dad's foreclosures when Kevin's mom was losing the house she lived in and the website has changed so now for free you can't see the house number, you can only see the street name of homes in foreclosure. Well on MONDAY, a house on our street, with our number of bedrooms and bathrooms and square footage went into foreclosure. Our friend's boss buys alot of foreclosures and has a paid account for this website so he's going to look at it and let us know if it's our address or not and print out the sheet about it.

So now here I am, 8 months pregnant, and I am 99% sure that our house is being foreclosed on. We've paid our rent every. single. month. on time! And yet we're going to have to move! Kev doesn't have paid time off when I have the baby so our very meager savings was supposed to be used for that, not to mention just the logistics of moving when you're as far along as I am and having PTL issues. There have been tons of reports on the news that a TON of landlords are doing this to their tenents right now and so it seems like no house is really safe, so where do we even move that this wouldn't happen again?

Anyhow, I have no clue what to do, it's keeping me up at night though that's for sure. Ugh.

Dr appointment

I had my checkup today! First I had a u/s and the dr's office was trying out a new u/s machine so there was the regular tech, the lady demonstrating the machine (although my tech did the actual u/s) and then 3 other u/s techs in the room. Craziness! They did play with her a bit though so it was nice, only thing was it was hard to see because this trial machine wasn't hooked up to the LCD screen above the door, so I had to share the screen with everyone else in the room and it was hard to see LOL. Anyhow Jayden weighs 4 lbs 8 oz now!

Then I saw the dr and he had a peri in the office because he's trying to get this guy to come to Bakersfield once a week to check on his more high risk patients because Bakersfield does not have a resident Perinatologist, and people having high risk pregnancies can't travel to Los Angeles, so he's been trying to work on this situation for a while. Anyhow the peri reviewed everything with my dr and checked me and I'm still holding at 1 cm and 70% effaced. He thinks I'll make it to term (meaning 37 weeks +) but laughed a little at the scheduled c/s date the dr gave me. Hopefully he's right and I DON'T make it to the scheduled c/s! LOL He told the dr in his opinion the weekly NSTs or u/s' were good and keep it up and for now we look good.

I also have another bacterial infection - so on Flagyl I go, I don't know if you all have taken it before, the stuff turns my tummy and tastes metallic...yuck!

Anyhow my scheduled c/s is set for November 12th!!! Yeah as in DAYS after my due date! LOL He reiterated his "calendars don't decide when babies are ready, babies do" motto so, November 12th it is. He did say that look at it this way - 8 weeks from today I will not be pregnant, I'll have a 1 day old baby or older. LOL So I guess the light at the end of the tunnel is better than nothing! LOL

And I gained 6 lbs in 2 weeks. ACK!! I go for an NST next Tuesday and see the dr again on October 2nd.

So. Hungry.

I swear, I don't know what is happening to my food these days. I am SO hungry! Here's my day in food.

3:00 AM, wake up starving - eat Cocoa Crispies (I HATE cereal, this has to say something)

5:30 AM, wake up starving, have some leftover dinner

8:00 AM, more Cocoa Crispies because we're about to leave the house and I don't have time for anything different.

10:00 AM, McDonald's sausage biscuit with cheese meal. Yeah, I know!

12:00 PM, chicken pot pie

2:30 PM, Banana, grapes, I'm desperately trying to find SOMETHING healthy to fill me up.

The time is now 6:00 and I am going to eat a chicken burger that Kevin just baked for me...I'm sure I'll eat a 2nd dinner and wake up several times during the night to eat.

The scary part - I have to step on a scale tomorrow!!!!! ACK!!!

Kevin thinks it's hysterical, he jokes that I'm eating us out of house and home. WHat's sad is, I AM! I've drank a gallon of milk and box of cereal by myself in ONE DAY. Oink!

ARGH, the kids won't stop jumping on the couch. I don't know why they have decided to have this new obsession, LOL, but it's making me nuts!! We're about to institute a no kids on the furniture rule!

Anyhow, LOL, I'm doing much better. I have slept REALLY well the last few nights and took a great nap today too. Yesterday I went to the practice for the Primary Program and it went really well. As a Presidency we're singing the "Girl" part of "Love Is Spoken Here" and we're supposed to stand the first time and sit and stay seated when we come in for the "together" part, well I cannot breathe to take in enough air sitting down! LOL Plus it's just 4 of us, so hopefully I can convince them we should just stay standing, I can't breathe sitting there...the rest I'm ok, the kids are loud and who cares if you can hear me, LOL, or if I take a breath, LOL!

I skipped my birthing class on Saturday, my insurance decided not to pay for the class and it was going to be $60, so skip it, what can they teach me? Lay back, get cut open, have a baby, it's not that hard.

Ok, so my threats of, QUIT JUMPING ON THAT COUCH OR YOU'RE GOING TO BED, aren't working, so I have to get up and enforce them...time for some kidlets to go to bed. Later all!

That kid!

Well, you all know how Justin likes to get hurt and cause panic...today was very much the same. Except we had to go to Urgent Care.

Stinker Boy was playing outside barefoot (after being told 73482974382749 times to wear shoes out there) and stepped on a huge piece of glass. I have never seen so much blood!!! We wrapped it in a towel and Kevin's grandma came to get us and we went to the doctor's. The nurse came out and said, "nope he needs sutures or stitches and so you have to take him to urgent care." Luckily our dr's office is attached to the hospital with urgen care so we drove to the other side of the parking lot and Justin was seen pretty quickly. Guess boy-bleeding-all-over-the-floor trumps whatever ailments the other people had. LOL

Justin wasn't crying, he was actually acting pretty brave. Until the doctor came in. The doctor reached down to touch his foot and he snapped his foot back and told the doctor, "You are NOT touching my foot. NO!" The doctor told him he has to touch it to fix it and Justin barely consented to that. Then the doctor said he needed sutures and tried to explain it to Justin and Justin told him "NO! I don't want to do that!" So the doctor asked him if he could glue the cut shut and Justin said that was fine so they used Dermabond and glued his foot shut. He said if it opens to come back and he'll just have to have stitches or sutures or something because it's a pretty deep cut. Stinker.

I had to carry him a few times today and I'm in ALOT of pain. The nurse and doctor became more concerned with me, and so I'm home, drinking water and I took some Terbutaline and we'll see if things calm down again. What could I do? It was just me, Jakey and Justin until Kevin's grandma got here, I had to pick him up, he couldn't walk. I just ordered pizza for dinner and we're going to veg, hopefully we'll all fall asleep early tonight! I'm exhausted!
Ugh, insomnia strikes again.

I fell asleep at 11:00 last night after having no nap yesterday and woke up at 1:00 AM, dozed until 2:00 and then decided I was STARVING at 2:30, so I got up and ate some cereal (yuck) and played around on the computer. Until 6:00 am. Fell asleep and at 8:00 it was time to get up with the boys. Ugh. I was having contractions that I couldn't sleep through all night, they're not painful, but they're there. But I know my doctor is going to say that it's ok unless they get painful or crampy because my experience over the last few weeks is my cervix is only changing if I'm cramping or in pain, not just uncomfortable.

I'm tired.

Sigh. Only a few more weeks, only a few more weeks, only a few more weeks.

Thursday, September 13, 2007

Yesterday I was sitting at the computer completing some of Jakey's work on the computer for grading, and Kevin decided to go make us all lunch. He goes into the kitchen and says:

"Ugh, you have NO IDEA how frusterating it is to have to clean this kitchen every five minutes because it gets destroyed so fast."

I raised an eyebrow at him, "oh really? I have NO idea what that's like AT ALL. That must be AWFUL."

Then, he realizes his mistake, LOL and says, "Ok, you're right, you might know what it's like." LOL

*Might?* LOL Uh huh. LOL Someone's preaching to the choir!

Anyhow I think Kevin gains a whole new appreciation for what I do now that he's doing most of it! LOL I try not to be annoyed that things aren't really how *I* would do them, but it's kinda hard, LOL. My tounge practically has welts from biting it, LOL!

At least he's back at work today! That's a relief. That boy has got to get healthy again, *I'm* the one who requires tons of medical attention and medicines, not him! LOL

Justin woke up this morning at 6:00 AM, I'm STARVING MOM! Well sorry but we don't eat at 6:00 AM and if stinker boy would eat his dinner all the way he wouldn't be hungry at 6:00 AM. So now it's 7:15 and I'm going to let him eat 30 minutes early - but I don't appreciate the wake up call, at all! I slept through the night for the first time in a LONG time (save a few trips to the bathroom) only to be awoken at 6:00 AM!!!! ACK!

I'm excited to watch Big Brother tonight!! I sure hope that Dick or Danielle pulls off the HOH competition! I don't like Dick, but Zach hasn't really done ANYTHING in the game until this past week or so and I don't think he deserves to win, Danielle does. She's been winning competitions the whole time.

Anyhow, time to go eat. I HATE cereal but I've taken to eating it because I am STARVING all the time and in the middle of the night, cereal is just about all you can have without waking up the whole family, LOL. Lucky Charms are the most edible of all the yucky cereals! LOL

Adventures in Homeschooling

We're reviewing Roman and Greek history right now so we can move into the Reinassance. So, we're reading about Ancient Romans lately so before beginning the lesson I say to Jakey:

"What language did Ancient Romans speak?"

"Um, I know this....um....oh I remember! Aladdin!"

"That's exact----what? Aladdin?"

"Yeah, Aladdin."

LOL, "Jakey it's LATIN, not ALADDIN! LOL"

Kind of like having ogres in my carpet again...LOL

I haven't posted in a long time about Natalle and Erica, have I?

Well since Denny passed away last year, my dad completely lost it. He started using drugs, drinking incontrollably, lost his business and has three homes in foreclosure. He ended up filing for bankruptcy in an attempt to save the condo - the home Denny died in. (That really creeps me out for some reason.) Anyhow, during this he gave the girls to their birth mother (I have a hard time calling her that - I consider her to be an egg donor, but whatever.) and they have pretty much lived with her since last fall.

Tabatha is an idiot, no doubt about that. She is constantly complaining that my dad won't give her the welfare money (welfare fraud IMO, that EITHER of them is getting it) and it annoys me to no end because I just want to slap her and say, "oh well, get off your butt and take care of your kids without welfare, what a novel idea!!!" (You know me, I'm not against welfare as a whole, just against it being your career, yk?)

Anyhow, Tabatha also let my dad live in a motor home in her driveway all summer long because he was homeless and says he couldn't "bear to live in the condo that Denny died in, but couldn't let it go either." Meanwhile, my brother Eric (the girls' father) IS living in the condo - guess he's not burdened by that pesky concience AT ALL. He's also unemployed and frequently the local jail for DUI (Eric that is).

Lovely, this is the girls' life - they have a mother they haven't really ever known but are desperate to have her attention and love now, who constantly talks about how she can't afford this or that for them (but owns a motor home, boat, business, 2 cars, etc.) and their grandpa lives in the driveway, and they aren't really allowed to see my mom or I as much as they were used to. (Things really hadn't been the same since the whole CPS thing right before Denny died.) And also, my dad's exwife has decided she'd like to be a part of the girls' lives again and so she's showing up again. (Great, that's fine, but it needs to be consistent or not at all.)

So, apparently my dad has moved out of the motor home and into the condo - guess he finally drank that concience away as well - and he and Eric are now demanding that Tabatha return the girls to him. She doesn't have legal custody - he does. She's playing the "I can't afford to file for legal custody" card with my mom - which irks me to no freaking end because she just got back from a weeklong vacation - ARGH! So, now the girls are being played tug of war on again!

I just want to blow up the worthless Department of Children's Services, most of my readers remember the CRAPPY time we had with them after such OBVIOUS abuse was witnessed and NOTHING was done, so I don't feel like they're going to help at all. At this point I'd just love to see my dad AND Tabatha arrested for welfare fraud (she did get SOME of the welfare money a few times for the girls) and the girls go to my mom or even foster care would be better at this point. The poor girls are already so screwed up, Erica won't even leave Tabatha's sight because she's terrified that Tabatha won't be there when she comes back - with good reason! Natalle's psoriasis is SO bad from all the stress. These poor kids.

Ugh. It just makes me sick. And these idiots (my dad, Eric, Tabatha...) are the fertile people of the world, they'll just keep stupidly procreating. Nice.
My payback for a too busy day...

CHARLIE HORSES.

OUCH.

I hate when you're laying there sleeping peacefully and then, WHAM! You're writhing and screaming in pain from the calf cramps!! I scared Kevin half to death, he's like what is wrong with you? Is it the baby? And I can barely squeak out - no, my legs!!! And then he remembers the dreaded Charlie Horses of the 3rd trimesters of Jakey and Justin's pregnancies. They're baaaaccckkk....ugh.

Anyhow, my calf is so cramped up I can barely walk today. The missionaries already tried to kidnap Kevin to go out with them this morning since he's not working but he told them he shouldn't because of his eye and my leg, so we're going to clean our bedroom! After I homeschool Jakey that is. Time to get on that!

What a day!

I called Kevin's eye doctor place at 8:00 to see if they would see him with pink eye. The receptionist said to hold and she asked the doctor and they assured her (and me) that they could see and treat his eye infection while doing his annual eye exam today. So we get there and they don't take our HEALTH insurance so if we want them to treat the infection it'll be cash out of pocket and they can't do his eye exam because with the infection the results will come out differently then when his eye is well. Well freakin duh!!! Ugh. I was SO upset, I don't think Kevin is going to be able to use that office again because I was so upset that I CALLED and was told something else, and they wasted my TIME AND ENERGY. Then the assistant says, "we won't charge you for today." Well good thing cause I wasn't planning on paying for NOTHING! Ugh.

Anyhow I called Kevin's primary care dr, but Kevin's not an established patient because he hasn't been to the dr since our insurance changed in January. Luckily I have, and since I was established they went ahead and made him a same day appointment. For 2:45.

So we live on the outskirts of town and all doctors are in town or on the other side of town from us, so we chose to go to Kevin's grandma's house to wait for the appointment. Well his grandma had a doctor's appointment herself so we ended up going to his mom's house down the street. My MIL has like 8 cats (not joking) and 2 small dogs and then some outside dogs as well. Well I was starving so I had grabbed a burger and was eating it when one of the cats attacked me. I am NOT a fan of cats really, one I can handle, more then one and I just feel surrounded and grossed out. Cats are way more "animal" then dogs are to me. Anyhow so thankfully by then his grandma was home and we could wait down there.

FINALLY, 2:45 comes and I swear it was like taking one of the kids to the pediatrician - Kevin didn't know where the office was, forgot all the things that I asked him to mention (His high blood pressure, a rash on his legs, his runny nose and cough, and the eyes of course) so finally he's like I don't know, she remembers what all I wanted to talk to you about, and the doctor just laughed and said for some husbands it really is like their wives taking them to the pediatrician...LOL

Kevin's blood pressure however, is NOT a laughing matter. He is going to die and leave me with three kids I tell ya. I about had a stroke myself when they took it. After he rested it came down to 135/103. (the first one was 180/120!) Anyhow the doctor wants him to come back in two weeks to get on blood pressure meds and have a pre-physical. Kevin needs a Department of Transportation physical by October 28th and he cannot pass it with blood pressure that high so he's going to have to get on meds (which take 3 weeks to work) in order to pass it this year.

Also, yep, it's pink eye. Some sulfer eye drops and he's going to be fine. Our kids have had pink eye a few times and it bugs them but they generally don't complain too much - Kevin is doing all the complaining for them. LOL I know it hurts, I'd rather have a horrible cold then pink eye because it does seriously hurt, but still. LOL Only one of us can be on bedrest and today I did WAY more then I should have. I had to take brethine for the contractions because I just couldn't hang. Also my feet are hugely swollen and the primary care dr (who knows my OB) freaked out at the sight of them and had the nurse take my bp too - I'm all good though 130/80 (not great, but not like Kevin's for sure!).

Anyhow, so that was my fun adventures. I'll spare you Adventures In Filling A Prescription At Walgreens, and Travels to Kinkos to Fax Kevin's Time Card and Dr's Note, also we're skipping the "Are We Done/There Yet?" chorus from the kids, you're all lucky really. LOL

After a day like today - bedrest doesn't seem so bad.

Sunday, September 09, 2007

So last week Kev told me he's opening his last pack of contacts so can I make an eye dr appointment for him. So I did and got him in this coming Monday (tomorrow). Well this morning he woke up with red eyes, matted shut. Pink eye. So now I wonder, do we keep the eye doctor appointment and can he prescribe drops for the pink eye and will they do all the stuff they have to while he has it, or do I cancel the eye dr appointment and make him an appointment with our regular dr? Hmmm...not really sure.

Anyhow, pink eye kept Kevin home from church. I knew Justin would be too much for me alone so I left him here with Kevin and Jakey and I went because the primary program is on the 23rd and I wanted Jakey to have a chance to practice with the other children. So, off we went to church. I sat in a chair, I was told that if I got up AT ALL they would send me to Relief Society. LOL Now I just have to decide if I'm going to stand for the primary program when we sing. I don't want to look silly sitting there, but I don't want to hurt myself either. I'll be 33.5 weeks and I get off bedrest at 34 weeks. So, what do I do. The Primary Pres and music person both suggested that I just stand for the 2 songs that the presidency has a seperate part from the children so that we have more volume, but I can sit if I am not comfortable with that. (For example, we're singing the first verse of "Love Is Spoken Here" and the kids sing the 2nd verse, then together, to help the 4 of us be more loud than 20 primary children.)

I'm going through another growth spurt I think because I'm insatiably hungry again. LOL I just can't seem to get enough food. And now my bouts with insomnia are filled with my eating as well. Last night I went ahead and ate when I woke up at 2:00am and I managed to fall back asleep after only about an hour of being awake, so maybe my tummy is causing the insomnia? I don't know, but I do know the scale is NOT going to be my friend when I go back to the dr's on the 18th!

So, that was my totally random Sunday post! LOL

Insomnia Sucks

Ugh. The past two nights I haven't woken up but to go to the bathroom and tonight I wake up and can't go back to sleep. Ugh. For the past few weeks I go to sleep around 10-11 and wake up between 1-3 and can't get back to sleep until 5:30 or so in the morning. It stinks. Then the next day I'm super exhausted, take a longer nap than usual, and it starts all over again. Ugh.

Friday, September 07, 2007

Well I went last night. What? No one posted before I left...LOL I just rode with my friend, sat in a chair and everyone brought me my dinner and dessert. We had a presentation on emergency preparedness and that was about it. I didn't get up at all. And then I came home. No increase in contractions or cramping. I drank a ton of water and laid down until this morning, and I feel just the same. So I think I'm ok. :) I did less standing then I do when I go to the doctor's office.

Today is Jakey's spelling test - I have my fingers crossed that he manages to get them all right. He's doing better, but yesterday I stopped saying them in syllables and encouraged him to sound/clap them out in his head as he writes them on his paper - I mean I can't just do everything for him! LOL And he messed up some of the words because he didn't focus too well. I'm going to try to do his spelling test before Kevin has to be at work so Kev can keep Justin quiet because I also think Justin was distracting because he was singing while Jakey was trying to work on spelling yesterday.

Wow on Big Brother last night! I don't know who all is watching it but WOW! It was a good night! I missed most of it but read about it online when I got home. All I really saw was Eric's goodbye speech.

I'm really excited that the fall season is about to start, it'll give me something to do while I wait for my baby to get here! LOL

Anyhow, that's my fabulous Friday, homeschooling and laying around. LOL A friend is going to bring me the first Harry Potter to read today too, I've never read the Harry Potter series so we'll see if I like it. See what everyone is so excited about, LOL.

I'm bored.

I want to go to Enrichment Tonight! I'm BORED, BORED, BORED. Really, what's the difference between sitting in my recliner at home and sitting at the church having dinner? I'm sure a friend would bring me dinner so I don't have to get up. I wanna leave this house and go somewhere besides to the doctor's office!!!! This weekend I did go sit at other people's houses to eat - isn't it the same thing? What do you think? Should I go to enrichment? I wanna gooooooooo!!!!

Zantac - wonder drug!

At my appointment I asked the doctor what I could do for my heartburn besides Tums because they just weren't cutting it anymore. He said that it's really common in the 3rd trimester to feel a ton of indigestion and offered to prescribe me some Zantac, I said sure I'll try anything!

Yesterday Kev got around to filling my prescription and MAN, what a difference! I slept through the night (with the exception of a few potty breaks) but I didn't wake up and sit there breathing fire at any point during the night! I feel so much more well rested then I've felt in along time!

Proud Momma Post

Jakey's teacher came today and tested him in Math and Reading. In Math he tested at a 3rd grade 5th month level, and in Reading he tested at a 4th grade 1st month level. We're in 3rd grade 1st month!!! Yay!!!! She said the only things she can really see he should work on is expression during reading (pausing at periods, exclaiming at exclamation points, etc.) and his comfort of changing functions in math - meaning that he has a hard time transitioning from adding to subtracting and then going to multiplication then to division, when he's more comfortable with transitioning between different types of problems he will become more proficient. Anyhow I'm very glad that he's testing so well for her - stupid STAR Testing making me doubt myself!! LOL
I had my NST and appt yesterday. The baby and I are doing great! Jayden reacted nicely to my contractions and moved plenty and I've made no changes over the weekend. My fFN was negative too! That pretty much guarantees I won't have her by this friday. LOL Good thing! The u/s tech isn't going to be in next week so I'm going in 2 weeks to have a u/s and dr's appointment and he said to call if I feel like I need to come in next week. I'm kind of glad to take a week off from finding a sitter and having Kevin's grandma take me to the doctor so unless I feel bad I'm just going to be happy to stay home for one more week.

I also gained more weight. I'm bummed, I'm up 9 lbs now and man do I feel fat! Since I'm overweight I was hoping to only gain like 10 lbs total and now I can totally see myself gaining in the 15-20 lb range. Ugh. Oh well as long as Jayden's healthy, right? I hope that breastfeeding burns it all off but my experience is that I feel like I'm STARVING when I breastfeed, so that doesn't help me lose weight at all! LOL

Anyhow, in other news, Jakey and I started his full curriculum yesterday and he did so much better than last year about sitting there and getting down to business!! Also, his spelling was GREATLY improved over the summer! One of his spelling words for this week is "fantastic" and he spelled it correctly on the first try! Really the only word he had a problem with was the word "problem" LOL! He seems to be doing better with it now. He really did a great job, hopefully he keeps that up today!!

Justin, Mr. Destructo, broke the fridge last week. Did I mention that? Yeah, he hangs from EVERYTHING and he's not the lightest kid, so swinging from the fridge door broke it off it's hinge and it was a huge pain to set back on everytime you opened the fridge. Kevin managed to fix it on Monday with some new parts for the hinge (we have a side by side). Anyhow so yesterday right before my doctor's appointment the boys come running in, "Our cage broke!" I'm like, "Our cage????" (I wish we had a cage for them! LOL) Jakey says, "Yeah, the cage broke, and we were nowhere near it, we were all the way in the back of the yard and it just fell over." Uh huh, sure. So right then I knew I was getting a story. First I had to figure out what "cage" was. Well, it was the gate (rod iron) to our yard. I convinced Jakey that I would never in a million years believe that he and Justin were "no where near it" and so he told me Justin was swinging on it and it broke. THat sounds more like it. The whole gate was laying flat in the walkway to our house. Ugh. Kevin wasn't too happy when he got home, and he wasn't able to fix it so now we have to actually go outside when the dog goes out and walk her...ugh! He thinks this weekend he'll be able to fix it.

Anyhow, while writing this post I've had to break up 734832974434 fights and put Justin in time out because he's taken to socking Jakey right in the mouth when Jakey says anything he doesn't like, so I better get on with parenting this morning. Although I have to say on days like today (where time outs have been doled out more than once before 8 am), I DON'T WANNA!!!!

Tuesday, September 04, 2007

Ok, I'm done with summer. Someone come pack up all this sunlight and high temperatures and send clouds and rain my way please? I'm tired of all my shorts and capris and ready to wear jeans, long sleeved shirts, boots, and snuggle up under my blankets at night instead of having no use for blankets. But, in Bakersfield, summer is still gonna go on for about 8 more weeks. The very first day after summer that you wear a sweater is on Halloween, and that's only sometimes. (Not to mention cooler weather brings on the time my baby is due and everytime I look at her clothes I get so excited to meet her!)

So, we started a list last night, of things we need before Jayden is born. Not for me, and not for her, but for everyone. Such as, paper plates. I don't want to do dishes right after she's born, no one does. LOL So we need to stock up on paper plates. And of course all the other paper products that go along with not doing dishes. Also, we need to stock up the freezer with easy to throw in the oven meals. I'm not a huge casserole eater so I'm not sure at all of what we'll do there. I might have to go visit Lorie's recipes blog and see what I can find from her. Also, I don't want to have to run to the store for silly little things either, like toilet paper or diapers for Justin. And I want to get the boys presents from their sister. And I need to get Jakey's birthday presents and the things we're getting him for his baptism. For his b-day we're going with a Wii, more for us, LOL, I REALLY like playing some of the games on there! I love all the old Super Mario Brothers...LOL I'm sure he'll like it even if I'm getting it for that reason LOL. And for his baptism I am ordering him a set of Scriptures and he wants ties that he actually has to tie. He said after his baptism he won't wear clip on's anymore! LOL He thinks they're too babyish. LOL

So any suggestions on things we must get before the baby is born? Did you stock up on anything in particular to make life easier when your baby came?

Monday, September 03, 2007

I guess all those questions yesterday wore Justin out because he fell asleep at 1 PM watching a sprint car race on TV and didn't wake up until almost 4:30! LOL I fell asleep too and then unfortunately suffered from severe insomnia last night and didn't fall asleep until 5:30 this morning!!! And I woke up at 7:30 to the sound of the phone ringing and my mom calling on her way back into town. I am TIRED.

Kevin's grandparents should be BBQing today and if they do decide to do that then I think I'm going to go hold down a recliner in their living room for a while - can't pass up tritip and my favorite pistachio fruit salad!!! LOL

Well I'm off to supervise house cleaning from my recliner. The only way to do it! LOL

All you need to keep a 3 year old happy while you're on bedrest is a screwdriver, some Yu Gi Oh cards, and the baby's swing. He's rocked his screwdrivers, he's rocked his cards, he's rocked his cards and his screwdriver, he's pondered the fact we don't really need to buy batteries for the swing because he'll push it all day for Jayden if we want him to, or maybe we should buy batteries because he might find something to unscrew with his screwdriver. He's demanded to know why I keep falling asleep, and that I stay awake to watch Maya and Miguel with him, or Clifford, or Curious George. He's discussed whether or not he should have Trix or Cheerios for breakfast with me to the point of deciding that I don't really care, he can have both if he wants, and he did - in the same bowl! He talks, ALOT. I don't think I ever realized how much until Jakey wasn't hear to discuss some of these things with him! LOL Jakey is over at his grandma's house because he needed a break from Justin's questions, he says Justin's really started asking alot of questions lately and he's tired of answering them. LOL

Kev was on call this weekend and he did have to go in for a few hours, unfortunately it made him miss church this morning and he feels bad about that, but it's pretty rare - in 6 months at this job he's only missed church for work this is the second time...and what can ya do.

Anyhow, I'm trying to bribe Justin with a popsicle if he'll pick up his YuGiOh cards, he keeps smashing them into a pile and telling me he's done. I know he can do better than that! Hopefully I can confiscate the screwdriver too, when I do doze off in my recliner I wake up with a jolt when I remember he's got that screwdriver and he's not in the room anymore! LOL I worry that he's taking apart the baby's crib, or the cupboards in the kitchen, or the dining room table or something like that, LOL!

The stinking A/C went out again yesterday. Our landlord took us VERY seriously when she found out that I had been in the hospital earlier in the week and was now resting at home. It was too late at night to get someone out here so we had to wait until today but she was really on it. I went to Kevin's family's houses (his mom and grandma's - htey live on the same street) today for a few hours and now the a/c is fixed and booming WONDERFUL, COOL air into my house again!! Of course now I'm ready for a nap since I didn't sleep at all last night...LOL

Ok, I'll be around commenting on everyone's blogs this afternoon I promise, I'm such a bad blogger friend! :)
